Victory or Miracle: Dad (Jason Wilkins) and daughter (Madalyn) together

Belleville/MANSFEILD, Ohio, USA - Victory or Miracle: Dad (Jason Wilkins) and daughter (Madalyn) together

Good news arrives today when I receive the story of dad Jason Wilkins and her little daughter Madalyn Grace. God is great and a father’s heart has no equal. The story of innocent Madalyn Grace has been reported by several media outlets, but here are a few links to the news:

In essence and according to the news reporters, Mrs. Tabitha L. Potter – of Bellville, Ohio USA, 27 year-old, married - met with Jason Wilkins (31) in a bar and had “extramarital affairs” according to one source. The mother obviously got pregnant and gave birth in June 2008, then abandoned the child “less than one day after birth”. When the father, Jason learned about the misfortune of his daughter, he (courageously and responsibly, I might say) sought and obtained custody of her little girl. As Robert Franklin (GlennSacks.com) carefully puts it: “come January 12, Jason Wilkins (dad) and Madalyn Grace will begin their life together. And that's a victory - a big one - for them both.” It takes character and courage for a dad to earn a victory like that. Good job Jason! Way to go! May God bless you in your mission and your daughter always!

Is this a VICTORY? a MIRACLE? Or what?
Where is the finger of God in this event?

It is not too difficult to find the answer. I think I find it first in Isaiah 49:15 where God says "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!" And secondly, I find the same answer in Luke 21:16-18 "You will be betrayed even by parents, ... and they will put some of you to death. But not a hair of your head will perish."

Jason, (if I may) you must realize that God entrusted you with a noble lifelong mission that is found in the duties for the father that are (1) provision, (2) protection and (3) instructions. Your character, your courage and your determinations to claim your precious little daughter and stand up for her in these difficult circumstances demonstrate that you are the man fit for the job. But, you will need divine protection to give to your daughter the best of the dad that you are. We, all experienced fathers already know that … But, many of us despite many years of experience are struggling to carry on. One reason of our struggle - beside this plaguing US economy - is because of the “greedy single mother” who betrays us and our children by handing us over to Family Court Judges at the terrible cost of our children. However, God did not give anyone of us no more than what we can bear. After all, that is why we are made man before we become a father: “To stand”. “Having done all, to stand”.

  1. after nine years jason has proven to be an exception father to his daughter. she knows her story actually, she is the one who pulled this up for me to read. She is a strong well adjusted young lady and by all means has a strong connection to the God the Father, as he did see to it that she found her way to her father. We have long since forgiven the mother and realize that she showed great faith by trusting God by placing her daughter on his alter. with that said, this child changed so many lives including mine, as her grandmother, i see God's hand in all that transpired.
